- Because I don't dislike the game. I dislike things about it.
That said, I don't regularly play Sims 4 to begin with because I have a legacy going in Sims 3. When I play Sims 4, I tend to get bored quickly. I found even packs that appeal to me lose their novelty after a while. - whubble1817New ScoutLet me preface by saying that I have been playing the Sims since 2000. My response is this, people who truly do not like to play the game don't buy packs and don't bother to come here to complain. When you see people complaining, harshly criticizing, or posting their negativity in other people's posts, you can safely assume they are trolls, good old-fashioned trolls who are bored and are looking for attention. Since no one gets attention being positive anymore anywhere, people starving for attention have to use negative tactics to get it. If you see someone posting about one or two little things that they find wrong, like babies being objects, those players (I assume) are not unhappy enough to quit playing and so they mildly complain about things they authentically want to see changed. But these people you see get on hear and rant about every little thing they see wrong and write it out as if they are speaking for everyone, those are TROLLS. Trolls, as with most other people without morals or respect will not respond to you here because they do not truly care about anything that would take the attention away from them.
- I get so bored of the people that whine about "I spent 700 dollars of my own money willingly on this game and I'm mad! EA owes me! I bought every single pack on release for full price by choice knowing it doesnt interest me and will be lacklustre and now I feel ripped off! But I will still buy every single other pack they put out and then complain about how EA is stealing my money!"
- whubble1817New Scout@Onverser HAHAHA you nailed it.

Or, ya know, you could just stop reading and find a different thread to read.
On the opposite end of that spectrum, what you just said annoys me. And usually I wouldn't engage with you, but I think it's important to point out that you came into this thread where everyone has been polite and giving their reasons except for you. You felt the need to belittle people."SimsLady2000;c-17854782" wrote:

I don't know been told by SimVIP before that lying and being positive like them is starving for attention and wanting to be an influencer just like them. I find the fan girls the most amusing like watching boy band fans fighting with each other saying they are the only entitled ones to exist. I got told when entering a giveaway I was taking attention from them winning the game. Followers tend to only want to follow the big streamers and Youtubers for attention. People enter Spark'd challenges for attention and to be on the show. Trolls are bullies period and blaming being on a side is an excuse of just acting like a bad person. I don't care how someone feels about the game, if they are a bigot towards diversity aka different and emotions that makes them just a bad human being period. Deligracy got trolled by these so called positive people all for having a different opinion telling Gurus to replace her with them. Sometimes I think EA's jobs in marketing plan backfired bad on them. Usually it is the fan girls that yell the loudest for Gurus to do a notice me senpei during streams. But thanks for the giggles. Makes me glad to not be a game changer. Why I had to tell James that I think he is nice but his fans scare me for how they treated his girlfriend. Jealous little fans."Mstybl95;c-17854907" wrote:

??? I think you've misunderstood my comment entirely, I wasn't talking about anyone in this thread. If it came across as belittling or mocking people here that really wasn't my intention at all, it was just a joke inspired by the start of this video
https://youtu.be/KjBU92ag_m0- Because some of use have played The Sims since childhood and we got used to that. The Sims was always part of my weekly routine. Even if the game is poor now (it is) I keep playing that. Why do I buy packs? The launch of TS5 depends on the financial results of TS4. If the game weren’t sold well, the franchise would be discontinued. That’s why I support the franchise. Because I strongly believe that TS5 will be much better. Sims 4 is trash for me. I’m more into gameplay than building and the current game has nothing to offer to me. Every time I buy new pack I keep my fingers crossed, but I’m always disappointed. It takes me about 4-5 hours to go through the game pack for TS4, while for TS3 it took me months. Look at World Adventures. This was tremendous and I’m sure that most of people even didn’t complete all the quests in that pack because of how reach the gameplay was. Amen.
- As of February, there are 33 million players for the Sims 4 after going from Origin to Steam.

I kind of wish Gurus were allowed to show more candor like this. Sad even they get censored a lot by the vocal majority of Sims fans on Twitter.
End of the day we are all just the bottom line to EA. The fallacy of yibsims still is the most destructive thing in the Sims community that started near the end of the Sims 3 and hasn't gone away completely with the Sims 4.
Also interesting for an iteration that is supposed to be the most emotional Sims game yet, interesting how much apathy exists in the Sims 4 community and how hard it has been to take away from the game itself and put empathy into the game again.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apathy
What it is: "Apathy is a lack of feeling, emotion, interest, or concern about something. It is a state of indifference, or the suppression of emotions such as concern, excitement, motivation, or passion. An apathetic individual has an absence of interest in or concern about emotional, social, spiritual, philosophical, virtual, or physical life and the world. Apathy is something that all people face in some capacity and is a natural response to disappointment, dejection, and stress. As a response, apathy is a way to forget about these negative feelings. This type of common apathy is usually felt only in the short term, but sometimes it becomes a long-term or even lifelong state, often leading to deeper social and psychological issues."
Why I view being called positive a worst insult because it means I have lost my humanity, so I rather have my emotions and Sims have theirs back too.
Sims originally was designed after this hierarchy of needs:
https://www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html#gsc.tab=0
So interesting how psychology in the game has effected the community. I found majority of Sims 4 players face some emotional medical issue too, so Sims 4 isn't the most healthy medical treatment. That is why it is so important to get it back to its roots so Simmers are happy again and there is a community again. Until then, apathy will continue until the hierarchy is restored.
Toxic positivity never helps anyone especially for those dealing with mental and social health concerns:

I don't play the game regularly, don't buy many packs anymore, and I still complain the game. Why? Because I have hundreds of hours of playtime and have every right to criticize the game. I don't think I'm a "troll" or seeking attention. I honestly just want to see the game get better.
Tbh, your comment is a bit rude.
