Part 6 is finally here and it's not a lot but believe me, part 7 will explain a few other things.
Part 6: True Colors
Malcolm: You’ve got to be kidding me, right?
Holly: No.
Malcolm: I-I don’t even know where to start. How could you do this? Why would you do this?
Holly: Look, as much as I like playing twenty questions with you, we don’t have time.
Malcolm: Don’t have ti—Holly you just admitted you killed your own father. I don’t care if the earth stands still, we need to talk about this. Now.
Holly: What do you want to know, then?
Malcolm: I want to know why you did it. Why would you kill your own father? And more importantly how is my own mother involved with this?
Holly: My father and your mother are a lot alike. I didn’t know it at first but they have a lot more in common than anyone would think.
Malcolm: They hated each other. What could they possibly have in common?
Holly: Besides their love child? Nothing much except for ambition and wanting to take out the competition when necessary. Of course they both have their own ways of doing it. My father would make deals he knew he could twist around to benefit him making his clients look guilty for the shady business deals. And your mother on the other hand, well, I think we both know how she gets what she wants.
Malcolm looks uncomfortable while Geoffrey sits back and takes another sip of his drink.
Holly: Anyway, I saw them talking one day and I knew something was off. They couldn’t stand living across the street from one another let alone in the same room. But I heard them talking about something.
Malcolm: What were they talking about?
Holly: Their affair. Your mother warned my father that if anyone knew about Johnny, she’d destroy him in the worst way. My father didn’t care, he wanted to know more about the son that she sent away. Then that’s when I found out about our big brother. After that, I put on my detective hat and started digging and found something interesting.
Malcolm: Which was?
Holly: My father’s will. He’d left everything to his first born. Johnny was truly the heir to the Alto fortune.
Geoffrey: Meaning that Johnny was going to get it all and you’d get absolutely nothing. No matter how much of a goody two shoes you really were, your father would never see you as an Alto.
Holly: Yes. After that, I knew he was willing to give up everything to a child he barely knew and left nothing for the daughter who’d grown up in that house.
Malcolm: And that’s when you killed him.
Holly: I waited for him back at the manor and when I confronted him about what I had heard him and your mother talking about he denied ever having a son. Then I showed him the will and eventually he broke down and told me the truth.
Malcolm: Why kill him if he admitted everything?
Holly: You wouldn’t understand. This was something I had to earn and for my dad to change it for a son he doesn’t know instead of the daughter he’s been raising all this time…He deserved what he got. Do you remember how he died?
Malcolm: Yeah, they found his car in the ocean and he washed up on the shore already dead.
Holly: Wrong again. If you remember correctly, my father can’t stand to be near a pool. Bodies of water make him jumpy and on edge. So drowning him in the pool seemed like the perfect way to kill him.
Malcolm: Holly, I can’t believe you made him drown.
Holly: Karma’s a witch isn’t?
Malcolm: I still don’t understand though. What does my mother have to do with any of this?
Holly: She…
The door flies open as police officers rush into the room.
Officer: Holly Alto?
Holly: Yes?
Officer: You’re under arrest.
Holly: For what?
Officer: For the murder of Nicholas Alto.
