He recently attended Gamescom like he does every year, but this time he was mostly behind the scenes, unlike previous years where he would also roam the exhibition halls and meet fans.
His schedule was packed with meetings and presentations, giving him exclusive insights into upcoming content. According to some of his videos coming from Gamescom, he was so busy that he didn't even get to play all the games he was supposed to be able to exclusively playtest there and some of his friends and colleagues had to cover for him.
So yeah, it's very possible he either got some information behind the scenes there or just the usual way of getting contacted by a bigger company to review/play their game.
As for the people saying that they should've told someone like Deligracy because she's more relevant, who says they didn't ? Maybe she also knows but he just chose to share that information because he was excited whereas Deligracy did not.
Gronkh didn't disclose any details about the upcoming pack other than that it's coming and it will fit into his Let's Play series - which amounts to basically nothing because he plays the game with all of its content as a whole and wants to do pretty much everything it can offer.
And as far as relevance goes, you might have never heard of him outside of Germany but he is a very big deal there. Obviously someone like Deligracy is more accessible language wise but that doesn't mean that there aren't influential people in non English speaking countries. ( And assuming otherwise is pretty ignorant )
