Get Famous - editing the film studio lot

I used some cheat and was able to adjust the studio lot - just the rooms for the make up and costume. I was so happy with the result. But then I switched household to play another Actor, and to my disappointment none of the changes were saved...

Is there some way to make the bb adjustments stick? Are changes based on what Actor is actively played?
  • This may be linked to the stage set-up. It's possible that the building is regenerating itself based on whatever gig they are performing because it needs to add the new scenery and what not. Try to play again same gig and see if the set-up is as you changed it.

This happened to me too in the past after I decked out the makeup/costume rooms and the dressing rooms. So yea, if that is the case that each gig needs its own makeover - that kind stinks.
  • Ha! It did not even cross my mind, but it seems logical. I'll not do an edit for every single gig, but on the other hand, it would be cool dropping just a simple adjustment, to give me a surprise when I return to that gig in the future. I don't remember what exact gig I did the big change in both rooms, can't wait to randomly pic that gig in the future :)

There could even be some gif specific props like cowboy hats and boots for the western bonfire gig, or a tray with tea for the "downton abbey"-ish set. Like the costume dressing sim dropped some dirty clothes on the floor, or the makeup woman surprising my sim with a bottle of nectar ready to be served :)

@Simmerville your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to create a different vibe for each gig (e.g. spooky, boho, dilapidated, cozy, modern, space age, fairy tale, jazz age). Show pictures. :p
  • I saved the improved makeup / costume rooms separately in my gallery and just plop them when I go on set with a sim.

It is never saved unfortunately, I repeat a lot of gigs because I prefer to, and I have to place the rooms every time.
  • Thanks for the challenge @Eleri - it sounds fun but a bit time consuming, and I can't see my game finding the time needed. And - if it won't even save...

Thanks @happyopi - so sad that we can't adjust it, but good to know it won't stick before wasting all those hours.
