That is very helpful to know! I got even more frustrated when playing this morning. I was playing my Evans family (Jonathan is the violinist in my avatar). He's a 2-star celebrity in his own right, and his father, Edgar, is a 3-star celebrity from his career as an astronaut. Edgar came to visit recently. One of his twin granddaughters tried to hug him, got rejected, and spent the rest of the evening crying about it. His toddler grandson (who is actually named after him) couldn't even interact with him at all.
Rejecting a granddaughter's hug is not anything devoted family man Edgar Evans would ever do, It was awful to see how hurt the child was because of the rejection. To make matters worse, she's a bit of a celebrity herself (thanks to the videos her father has uploaded of her and her sister playing their violins) and she had the overly-emotional quirk that got triggered by her very sad mood.
I find cheats very helpful, especially when adding a new EP. (I just got Get Famous a few days ago.) I've used cheats to create the celebrity status for my previous sims -- like Jonathan and Edgar -- who were somewhat "famous" already through my storylines. If using a cheat can help resolve the family issues caused by celebrity status, I'm all for it. Thank you so much for letting me know about the cheat.
