I had a few sims come into my sim’s house without being greeted or invited in, even when my sim invited them in myself. Once my sim got to two stars, they were all like, “wow, you’re famous now” and etc then they barge inside but this happened about once or twice for me only and my sim was already friends with them. I can imagine and understand it being annoying the more it happens though.
My main problem was they wouldn't leave after being told to leave. The sim would just stand there for a while then go on and do some other stuff in the house. I just travelled somewhere and left them there then travelled back home. Now the gates are locked so people show up but just stand outside.

On the flip-side, his next younger brother is the Notable Newcomer. I have yet to notice anybody following him to the family home. What's up with that? Erik is the looker, the one with the voice and the one who can charm the spots off of a leopard.
I think it happens at random. My sim met a new coworker, that happened to be a 4 star celeb while she herself was only a 2, and said coworker pops up saying "let's catch up" like they'd been best buddies since way back when. She didn't get past the gate...

I remember it happening in City Living but it got fixed for me and I stopped worrying about it since adding the privacy trait kept random sims from popping up. Even without it I didn't have random sims popping up and walking through my house. That trait no longer works, or at least it doesn't keep this particular issue from happening. Locking doors does work but they still loiter on the property. I wonder if the celeb trait keeps people from showing up.
