getting a cat or dog
When you want your sim to have a dog or cat, do you just create one in CAS for them or do you go through the adoption system in the game?

Since my sims have a tendency to live in Brindelton bay and vacation in Selvadorada, I've occasionally adopted strays. Otherwise I'll usually adopt, unless I want a specific type of cat (or dog, but usually cat because they don't need to be walked and I'm a cat person) in which case I'll add them in CAS.
And I don't think you need to use a cheat. I mean, I have MCCC too, but I'm pretty sure you can add one via the household management screen without needing the cheat.
