Ghost Question

Hello All

I have a quick question from those of you who may have more experience than I do.

Is there a way to lock a ghost in a single room / area of your lot?

I am working on a story where the mother is going to die. If I keep her urn on the property her ghost should appear from time to time. However, I do NOT want the ghost to interact with anyone in the house until I am ready.

If I can't lock the ghost in a single room / area is there a way to prevent the ghost from showing up at first and then show up later when the story calls for it?

    The only thing I can come to think of is if you create a room in the basement and make sure that the walls are not touching any other rooms nor are connected with other rooms by stairs. This way the ghost will show up in the basement room but wont be able to go through the walls into the rest of the house. When you are ready to have to ghost interact with others you just move the urn somewhere else and wait for it to appear.

    @Ember_Fox Thank you for the response ... I tried that ... It didn't work ... LOL .... I can't think of anything else to do other than maybe having another sim hold the urn on their property and then bring it back when ready ...

    Guess I am going to have to try that and see what happens

    What about putting the urn in your sim's inventory until you want the ghost to show up?

    That was going to be my response. I don't often play with ghosts, but I thought somebody mentioned that once over the years. It's certainly worth a try.
