ghost refusing ambrosia!?

so long story short, my dude married a dead girl and i am trying to make her alive again, but she refuses to eat the ambrosia. said shes accepted being a ghost.. ?? excuse me, lady, i dont think you understand who is in charge here lol

so anyone know why its saying this? is it because i dont have her headstone? or maybe that the household is almost full? or is she just being a brat and i need to use mods?

  • she died by puffer fish, my sim accidentally killed her on a date. whoops! i had given up on her for dead and tried dating other chicks but eventually came back around to her once the others didnt work out. she had died on a community lot and i think i edited it or something since her death cause her tombstone was gone. her ghost was still in his relationship panel tho. so she sometimes invited him out places. once time when they were out together i just shift clicked her into the household. i could have just used mccc right there to make her alive, but i wanted to do it the hard way lol.

she was able to eat the ambrosia the next day, (after getting the message about accepting being a ghost) but she still didnt come back to life (glitch im guessing) so i had to use mccc anyway >.< oh well. thats why i use mods, so when things like this happen i can fix them
  • I've only had playable ghosts that I had already moved into the household eat ambrosia before and never had issues with that.
Never tried to feed it to a ghost that isn't moved in already.
  • she was moved in, i just used a cheat to move her in because the prompt never showed up in friendly

I've resorted to using that cheat a few times. The "Invite to Household" takes forever to show up for ghosts. Usually they get bored of my Sim flattering them before their friendship gets high enough.

Though it sounds like yours was more a glitch than a "friendship not high enough" thing. Glad you found a workaround.
