Ghost Spellcasters? YES and even better

I can't help you but the new death is implied to be death by exertion. As in casting too many spells will kill you. I suppose trying to cast a spell without energy too many times?

I'm pretty sure the Ghost lifestate is compatible with all of the others... So you should still get to keep all your powers.

Yes, Gurus confirmed one can die of "pushing Spellcaster to the limits" and that animation in the trailer which looks like the Sim is about to explode is them "pushing it a little too far".
I think it'd be logical to add related ghost type (indicating death reason) and a trait separate from the one Elders get when dying by overexertion, like they did with Vampires dying by exposure to the sun (not just death by fire).
That's just my boring assumptions, nothing more :)

Ok, checked it, Vampire ghost is still a Vampire - needs, skills, interactions and all - so hopefully Spellcastrers keep it all too.

That's over exertion from physical activaty. This is over exertion due to using magic so wildly you explode

Sorry, I fail to see what you are trying to explain or how that contradicts anything I said.
I'm not saying it's not exertion, all I'm saying is that we are probably getting one more of those little icons for this new way to die.

I said Death by Overdoing it and Death by magically over doing it will havetwo totally diff Ghost effects is what I'm saying. You worrying about it'll be the same isn't terribly logical because Over Exertion is equivalent to Vampires Death by Daylight as it's a death unique to that LS only thus will have a new 'ghost body'

The gist of this topic:
We are getting a new way to die.
This is death from using magic too hard.
EA confirmed it, even showed it in the trailer.
Safe to assume we are getting new ghost body and trait, like we did with Vampires.
Vampires retain their powers as ghosts = Spellcasters will likely too.

@JACKIEJOY Sorry, I don't know about mermaids and not going to test it anytime soon. Probably someone else knows.

Oh I thought you were worried death by magic exhaustion and death by physical exhaustion create same ghost

So it's confimed that dying from Magical Overcharge will not only generate new type of ghost, but will also give them a cool perk as in being constantly fully charged = cast more powerful spells.
Now I'll have a ghost with purpose in my rotation :)
