Glasses should not be accessory

I mean, regular glasses should be based on the *need for glasses* rather than some kind of jewelry.

My sim needs glasses, so I added glasses to all his outfits - except a very few like sleepwear. But when he changes into his career uniform he suddenly no longer needs glasses. I wish the career outfit would just copy the glasses version from say everyday. Many ppl actually starts using glasses because they could not work otherwise. Ironically work is the only place in a sim's life where glasses are not needed...

This could easily been sorted out by adding a *needs glasses* trait. Would be top if it was somehow genetic, but we could also just add or remove it as we like. If the trait is active, a sim should even take longer to read, protest while watching tv or playing chess etc. - I'd love some consequences added to this.

But basically, I wish to add glasses to my sim's working uniform - is there a way to do that?

@Simmerville You can do this with a cheat. open the cheats bar with shift+ctrl+c and type in "sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas" (without the quotes) This will open CAS and let you change your sim's outfit (including the glasses) You will have to add them again if your sim gets promoted or changes jobs. I do know adeepindigo has a mod for eye care, if your on PC and use mods. https://adeepindigomods.itch.io/eye-care I've never used it though, but her other mods work very well.

It’s not just the glasses but also the hearing aids. I find it very annoying that hearing aids are labeled as earrings. Hearing aids aren’t earrings & not only that but people can actually wear earrings with their hearing aids. This is badly done in Sims 4 & it’s very insulting to the hard-of-hearing people. I’m actually an expert on this personally.
Sorry don’t mean to be so angry, it just seems so wrong & insulting.???

@SERVERFRA They actually put them in "Medical Wearables" category, but they still work as earrings. I think they could include a "Glasses" sub-category in it and work to make these medical wearables default in every clothes category, maybe just taking them off in swimsuit and the "taking a shower" one.

That would be ideal. There should definitely be an option to apply medical wearables (including glasses) to all categories except possibly sleepwear and swimwear, and then if you want to change the item i.e. to reflect a different pair of glasses you have the option to change the style. But of course sims should have the option for glasses or sunglasses as fashion accessories as well. I would suggest that sunglasses could be included as medical wearables as well as plain glasses though, because I know some people wear them for medical reasons, and other people (like me) have transition lenses. But of course there is no way the game could be expected to handle transition lenses!
