I just came across it while browsing the forums, I can't remember who said it now, but it was a forum member who said clues are supposed to be incorrect sometimes, just like in real life, but if that were the case, there'd be a way to go find the right clues and arrest the suspect and there isn't. You're forever stuck on that case unless you use cheats to quit your job, then get it back and promote yourself to the level you were at before.
ok thanks i myself havent run into this. all of mine clues have been correct and ive done at least 5 cases my sim was just promoted to senior detective, so excited to have them lose that blue uniform :) come tuesday lets see if we can get a guru to shed some light on this
