Glitch with detective clues, makes arresting the right suspect impossible

So I'm playing the detective career in GTW and my Sim started gathering clues together to call an APB and go arrest the suspect. Her clues were that the suspect was both a teen and possessed the Ambit...

You can ask people if they saw the suspect and if they did they'll point in the direction they saw him. I tracked him down that way.
