I always get rid of clues from the previous case before getting a new case (I feel like I'm cheating if I don't :tongue: ) I've solved about... 6 cases and my most recent has been the only one completely messed up (got the clues before the most recent patch and solved after the patch -- not sure if that's related to my issue but I do have a no sim culling mod).
What I did was ask sims about the suspect when they were clumped in areas then arrested the one who said they knew nothing when everyone else around them did.
The correct suspect (she confessed in interrogation):

I haven't cleared out my clues but I always collected new ones for each crime scene.
I'll try what you did. I have enough cases solved to get to the top of the career but I would like to get past this case.
