Glowing Furniture at 5am Daily?

Is anyone else having this happen? I have no mods in my game.

I set the lights to always on since my main Sim has the never weary trait and I keep her busy all night haha.

But Every Sim Day at 5am All the lights turn off and the house is totally dark as far as the walls and furniture goes, but as you can see, the things like carpets and beds stay lit up as if the lights were on... creating a glowing furniture effect. It lasts until the sun comes up and everything gradually gets lighter again and is normal all night with the lights working throughout the rooms until 5am and Presto! Glowing Furniture effect again.

Anyone know what is causing this or how to get rid of it? Or is anyone else getting this at least?

The lights ARE still on, they just won't illuminate walls and flooring and a few other things at 5am until around 7am ish though they do the rest of the day/night.

  • That's really odd. Is the lot using those invisible lights that you can find in the cheat category or something?

No, I'm using several types of lighting but MOSTLY wall lights. I didn't do any cheat codes to find them, they are in the normal lighting category. I do have some other lights too, like a cloud looking one in the toddler room and some floor lights and one or two ceiling ones.

THat being said... I DID download the home from the gallery (and redecorate it myself). If there are invisible lights maybe they were there and I dn't know about them? It didn't do that when I first downloaded it though, it's only started a few weeks ago and we've played this home for ages now.
  • I don't know what's causing it, and I haven't see in it. My suggestion though, would be to change your graphics settings higher or lower and see if that makes it stop.

They are on ultra but I did have them lower a few days ago, I believe this was still happening then but wasn't paying super closer attention so I'll try again and see. Thanks for the idea. If it is a graphics thing though, everything else runs super smooth on ultra so I'll probably just leave it. It's only a couple of Sim hours each day and not worth downgrading the graphics haha.

    What are your system specs?

Not sure but it's a new gaming computer, not the highest end gaming but should be fine. It's Acer Nitro 5. Got it about 2 months ago.
