Glowing Trees.....

So I've noticed in some worlds especially in the parks, that there will be glowing trees. I thought it was the sun shining through but is it something different?

  • @Stormkeep are you sure that's not a Christmas tree with some blue lightbulbs? just kidding I think you must be right.
  •, @Elliandre, Yes I'm sure. If you ever visit any of the national parks in the Smoky mountain area of the US toward the end of May into the start of June, you could get a good view of them (that's when they are mating and put on their light display).
  • Aww… my inner occult-lover took that as a sign of a future fairies- pack.

    Those were very pretty.
  • @SilentKitty, We've had fairies in the game since the base game came out for ones you can just "see in the environment", so if you consider those as a sign of a future fairy pack, then they have been hinting at it since the very beginning.

Here's a picture I took of a couple of them; they are the bright glowing spots in the center of the image:

They flit about in Sylvan Glade all the time, and if your sim is close to them you can faintly hear their high trilling voices.
  • If they are trees in a public space that produce harvestables, they would twinkle when ready to harvest. It looks just like the way they twinkle at home when they’re ready to be evolved. The community gardens are an exception because we can plant there just like we can at home.
