Agreed. It’s very obnoxious. I disagree with a lot of people here saying that it’s fine because it makes them unique. But I don’t use mischief like it’s a friendly interaction. I use it accordingly to how the mischief aspiration is categorized as criminal. My sim is not like that. Like, I’m fine with making a distinction between sims but they did it obnoxiously wrong.

I have been playing my goofball several sim days and toilet pranking happened twice. I was positively surprised when I saw that.

It's extremely annoying. I actually black listed goofball and neat in MCCC - no new sims will be generated with the traits. Unfortunately this doesn't help existing sims unless I fix them directly.

I'm used to a lot of mischief in general in my game cause I have the Personality Please mod and it makes all sims do it a lot. It's one of the reasons why I keep occasionally removing the mod. Like it's fine for Goofballs to do it, it's expected but not all sims.

I was thinking the reason goofballs don't prioritize funny interactions is due to the possibility of sims becoming hysterical from telling jokes, then dying from laughter.

At least with most mischief interactions sims emotions stay in check.

I think any trait that completely takes over sim behavior is bad. Constant obsessive cleaning isn't just "neat". It's OCD. And goofball "was" one one my favorite traits before they ruined it with them pranking toilets all the time. To me a goofball likes to be silly and make other people laugh. Pranksters make themselves laugh at others expense. Honestly, I think it should have been its own trait. So, yes I've removed them from my game. I'm starting a new game in a completely empty world I have saved. Well, it has houses and venues but no sims. MCCC will populate it with sims I've saved in my library. Should be interesting to see how this goes.

I think it is kind of annoying that certain traits cause Sims to do certain actions a lot. I like the trait improvements, but I feel like the traits need to be balanced a little more, especially for Goofball and Neat Sims. I love that they act more like their traits, but I also want them to still be able to do other actions sometimes on their own too.

I have a mean sim who was already terribly mean and hasn’t changed since the patch. Horrible father and turned the whole household against each other. So idk if you guys main play a mean sim as often as I do but mean sims have always been mean. The only thing added was the punch a stuffed animal obsessively and that’s it. I turned off that autonomy with the mod said above me.

And to anybody who says they’re happy with constant toilet pranking. You’re not gonna be happy repairing a toilet a million times.

It honestly really excites me that goofball sims use a lot of autonomous mischief interactions. I've rare ever used that trait since I felt it never did much. But I've been working on recreating Loki as a Sim (based on his Marvel counterpart) and the goofball trait might actually really suit him now.
