They show up on every lot, and all activity other than fans gathering around them and paparazzi taking pictures comes to a complete stop. I completely agree with this. Not only is that unrealistic, but extremely annoying. Allegedly one of that patches this year fixed that and celebrities aren't supposed to show up outside of Del Sol Valley as much anymore. I haven't played to test it personally.
And the fame system needs a major overhaul. It doesn't necessarily need to be easier or harder, but going down a star shouldn't be such a major catastrophe.
It's bad enough it's so boring trying to get fame up to begin with. It shouldn't just go up without trying, but constantly having to update your social status and such alongside of doing as many fame interactions as you can is too grindy. More points for doing things that are obvious attempts at gaining fame would be better.
I agree here. It's way too quick and easy to lose fame in my opinion. I'm already annoyed at how overly intertwined social media and technology are to nearly everything in the game. So the fact that the major way to keep your fame consistent outside of your actual job, is by constantly being on social media is very irritating. I really don't understand why my actress constantly had literal job requirements to post updates on social media. :/
