I've gone there for challenges and stuff and I think they did a nice job on the world for the most part. My complaint is that there is nothing in the current lots for toddlers or pets so I'll have to redo those.
What I'm finding from doing these challenges where I can only control one sim is that if you leave the other sims alone, they'll find stuff to do like horse shoes or whatever. Also, I've had my main sim form groups and they all go fishing or hang out at the campfire.
It's not my favorite world and I don't like having to edit the lots to make them functional, but I can deal.
