- logionX4 years agoLegendYeah, make sure that your graphics card is working properly, update the driver or try running another game to make sure it works. Based on your description it sounds like your anti-aliasing is not working properly, try changing the graphics settings.
You could try restoring the textures back to 2048, but I don't think it's gonna solve anything, Maxis reduced the textures to 1024 in a recent patch. https://www.patreon.com/posts/blurry-textures-47015425 "logion;c-17801103" wrote:

Follow the link to the instructions. Maxis did it in an attempt to improve performance, because the game is starting to lag on many computers. They probably thought that it would not make a huge difference on the objects in the game, but if you use cc you will notice how textures are blurry. "logion;c-17801588" wrote:

I don't have the file to fix it. I don't know what to do. It makes me not to play anymore.- @logion I tried following it and finally found the file possibly, but I can't fix it. I wish they wouldn't do it to the graphics. It's messing up my eyes and I'm getting frustrated from looking at it.
- logionX4 years agoLegend@morganlefaye You need to open the file in an editor like notepad and edit the text as littledica explains. But I'm not sure this will solve your issue.
You could try and post your problem on Answer HQ, technical issues: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/bd-p/The-Sims-4 maybe someone knows what the problem is. - @logion I used notepad and use the search thing and it didn't do much. I wonder if it's really something else?
- When you use search function make sure that your click on the first letter in the notepad first, then open up Search function (ctrl+f) when the pop up come under the direction choose down radio button then type objectquality
- SimplyJen4 years agoSeasoned AceHonestly sounds like you need to first, check your in-game graphic settings to make sure Edge Smoothing is indeed set to High. Some players are unaware of the game options so I wanted to mention this. Then I suggest updating your graphics driver. How to find out what graphics card or chip you have.
If this is a laptop, go to the manufacturer's website for drivers (example: HP, Dell, Acer, Asus, etc...). If this a desktop, go to the graphics card website for drivers (example: Nvidia, AMD, Intel) Those are the recommended steps but you can also use Windows to search for the driver. Windows search Device Manager and under the Display adapters tab, you should see your graphics card or chip. Right-click to Update driver. If you're on Mac then you will need to Google search.
The littledica link posted here will boost overall texture quality but it sounds like you're having issues with jagged edges, not exactly blurry graphics. You've posted a lot in the past about your game lagging so upping the texture might not be a good idea for your computer.
