Thank you for your advice all. :) What I did was use a mod to kill copies of the original sims in the way they originally died. Travis Scott-Fields died of overexertion as an elder (rocket woohoo), Lavender Fields died of old age, Azure Fields died of old age and Jack Glow-Fields (made by Erasers13) died of old age. Then I moved in the new/old family to the lot where they died.
