I think there is still a lot to learn, but that likes/dislikes will finally have some impact on our sims' relations. I love that, but I don't know how it will affect their contact/friendship.

And then there seems to be a way to decide how each sim of a family relates to each of the other family members. Will be good for sibling rivalry and I like that grandparents can have a favorite grandchild.

The existing friendships - at least in my game - seems to be a mix of my sim's social actions and randomness. I hope the new elements will make it more steady and long term, especially when playing on rotation.
