Hanging Clothes To Dry — How Long Does It Take?

Prior to today, I hadn't played my game since last Wednesday. (We left Thursday for a short trip.) What I noticed is that the clothes my Sim washed by hand in the bucket and hung out to dry were still dripping wet! I played for a least another Sim day, maybe two, yet the clothes were still dripping on the line. How long does it take for them to dry, for Surak's sake?

This is my first experience with the SP. In my other household, they live in a mansion complete with a Butler. In fact, since the Butler seems obsessed with the new machines in their new laundry room, I've had two fires in one gaming session in that household. Apparently, since we can't control the Butler, she is unaware that the lint-trap must be cleaned out. (Guess I'm going to have to have a family member beat her to the machine to clean it out!)

I am totally enjoying this SP, so far. I like how you don't just 'set the machine' like you could in Sims3, but have other stages to get the laundry into the wash. Check pockets. This is a very important step, particularly in RL. Sometimes, crayons end up in little pockets — and lip balm, too. Or the worst of the worst a piece of tissue! What a mess.

So, do any of you know how long I have to wait for the clothes to be dry and can be taken down? In the meantime, the hamper is getting full. :worried:

Please, and thank you, in advance.
