I admit it was weird to me to see soffits in some kitchens or to see just bare wall above the cabinets because I'm so used to my own kitchen having the cabinets go all the way to the ceiling (but then my kitchen doesn't have all that high of a ceiling...
I wish we could add decorative elements like the curvy wood piece above the window in this picture.

Ideally it would be nice if we could have more customization for our counters- being able to choose the shape and design of the lower cabinets as well as picking what style of countertop is on it. There are different style edges.
