I really miss the fear emotion as well, I especially missed it in StrangerVille.
There has to be some reason why they haven't added it, maybe it requires them to update tons of code...
I'm sure it does. Which is why it should have taken priority in the game's first couple of years.
Having a Fear emotion would resolve a lot of the issues of "too happy", "not enough challenge or obstacles", "game feels too safe and childish", "game still feels unfinished" that people have been criticizing since Sims 4 released and still, six years later. Putting Fear in the game would actually challenge the Sims and allow them to experience something completely different and instinctual that players can relate to. It would make the Sims a helluva lot more believable and actually bring an important element of depth and balance to the game.
