- No, I tried and tried but didn't manage to do it.
One of the first things I did was creating an evil mermaid and try to kill Sims by drowning them but it proved impossible.
I'm pretty bummed about that actually. - Nope not yet. My sim has it out for this one guy though (he yelled at her brother as their first interaction and he was so upset) so I'll figure it out... XD
- EgonVMSeasoned AceAs I have seen, the energy need is set to certain value when mermaid pulls a sim underwater. So when I had a mermaid do it with a sim whose energy need was running out, and his energy need actually went up a little.
- The live Q& A _ they will not drown a sim. They do make their moods really low so if that sim stays in the water they can "indirectly" drown a sim.

Do you know how many people started creating deadly sirens/mermaids after they heard you can drown Sims? I was surprised about it, yes, because not even vampires can directly kill Sims, but I thought maybe they actually went for it. But now I wonder where that rumor came from because most of us seem to have heard it.
Here was a blog post where someone said the developer told them it's possible to lure Sims and drown them, but maybe they confused that with sharks? (Sharks can pull you under water and kill you, right? Does that give you a different death or just a simple drowning death?) I try to remember if there were any other sources that talked about drowning Sims.
Well, I'm just disappointed right now. All my deadly, evil, dark mermaids are not playable the way I wanted to now - MidnightAura86New SpectatorI think it’s like the exaggeration about sharks and the cave. In the stream they made out both are very dangerous but I’ve been in that cave more times than my sim has had a hot meal and nothing has happened other than positive things.
I’ve had one sim drown but she was exhausted.
They made out Jungle Adventure was very dangerous too when actually it’s not. There’s nothing in the the temple that will kill a sim instantly. If your sim is poisoned the game nags you to remind you to take an antidote :p "Freygea;c-17125543" wrote:

That blows. I hadn't gotten to trying to drown other sims yet but, as bad as it may sound, I was looking forward to it. Good to know, though and makes sense, I guess.- simmerLellaSeasoned ScoutUgh, they intentionally misled people. :s
