has anyone’s mermaids successfully drowned a sim?

I hadn't tried yet as I was waiting for a random townie to show up.

I swore I heard people say it is possible that sims that do drown by a mermaid can't be revived. Now I am confused. Was it miscommunication?

Gosh, I never ever viewed the mythical mermaids as being evil. I think I'm glad, now, that my Global Superstar didn't run into any during his brief visit to the Island. :open_mouth:

Of course they can't drown another sim. This might actually be a fun form of game play. They gotta keep it lukewarm and bland like usual. Still think this originally was meant to be a game pack so that is why it is so light on features.

Man :< I was hoping that the interaction reduced sims by a set amount of points and if they happened to be low enough it kills them.

I mean my vampire can influence people to be angry/playful/embarassed and if they are already high enough into those states they pass into engraged/hysterical/mortified and keel over. Found that one out on accident actually... 4 deaths in a club.

Hmm... I was planning on making a evil merman who drowns sims, a bit of crowd control so to say. Will try it myself at some point but I remember how much work it was to try to kill sims with my vampire by influencing emotions. I got exhausted and ended up reverting back to my old “swimming pool of death”. Was hoping that the merman or mermaid could make that a bit more fun but it doesn’t look like it.

That's a bummer. I think we should be able to drown Sims by pulling them under twice in a row. Let the first time be a warning but the second time a success.

Exactly how I thought it would work. I did all the evil interactions as much as possible and nothing.
I really am disappointed by this.

@kalaksed @AlbaWaterhouse Maybe they will consider changing this if we give them enough feedback about it. I mean, what's the point of having the ability if it doesn't actually do anything?

I am incredibly disappointed at the fact that my evil mermaids cannot directly drown sims. I used two mermaids to repeatedly use sirens call and summon ocean threat and no luck. Whats the point in having mermaid powers if they are ineffective? Sims drown when passing out from exhaustion in a body of water, unfortunately nothing new here.
