Has anyone brought Mimsy back to life yet?

my lil Alice made friends with her, i was like "leave it to a kid to make friends with a ghost named Mimsy" but the living version of her is so pretty! :smiley: Im thinking of keeping her as a ghost myself just cause i love the appeal of that tragic beauty that haunts the gardens :3

Thanks Rosemow. I am asking because they always have another name when I play in Danish. I thought it was her, and there is a male ghost too, right? Funny idea to bring them to life. I have thought about doing so, too.

Yes, there is a male ghost also. His name is Bernard.

I used cheats and added her to my household. Didn't think it would work, but I used the "resurrectsim" cheat and brought her back to life!

1. To bring up cheat input console: type CTRL+SHIFT+C, then enter "testingcheats true" to enable cheats (via sims/mailbox)
2. Then SHIFT+ Click on Mimsy and select "add to family", then she should be apart of your household now
3. Then SHIFT +Click again but select "Modify in CAS" so you can change Mimsy's name to be her full name: Mimsy Shallot -even though she is Lady Mimsy Alcorn Shallot, you can only do first and last names unless you use hyphens-
The above steps can be used to resurrect Bernard too.

Have you tested this mod yet? If so, could you leave a link to it? In my Addams Family game, Grandmama died off lot so i don't have her urn; I'd like to invite her back into the household, but never seem to have the option the few times a houshold member runs into her :-/

Also, yeah, Mimsy can be hard to romance, lol. I actually was doing okay, but ultimately ran into a wall...kept getting rejected. I wrote an entry on it at my blog, but basically it added up to: snuggling, okay; kissing and whoohoo? No way!

What I meant was I haven't tested the mod with Mimsy, because she is a special sim. I still haven't used it on Mimsy, but it works perfectly fine with normal ghosts :)

I’m thinking to build a royal house between princess cordelia and possibly with a offspring of Mimsy and Bernard , since princess cordelia lost everything the only way to gain her power and titles is to marry within the wealthy family of the von haunt, then I’ll be using the British royal family as a inspiration for their future lineage!

I did. She maintained her ghost powers too. She could possess objects to break them or fix them even though she was alive.
