- When I didn't know that the trait wasn't needed*, I bought Johnny the "always welcome trait" and had him mooch in the Landgraab mansion. In this save I decided he was a distant cousin of Malcolm's on Geoffry's side of the family tree, disowned for failing school and becoming a comedian, just like the game suggests. Later he grew out of this behaviour, had a very succesful comedian career and also went into politics for some time (using the club system). When he found a wife, Johnny took her last name to signal his independance from the Landgraab.
*Note: Nowadays the trait would be needed for this, but that was back when there was only the basegame
In my main save Johnny was Malcolm's older brother who left the family because he didn't want to be involved in their crimes. He married Amber Stein, but both of them died when they helped a victim of the Landgraab during a kidnapping. The Landgraab got custody of Johnny's daughter and try to raise her in their own image.
Although I defined these relationships in my head canon, I never actually edited them in. - DreamprisonerSeasoned NoviceI didn't think he was Malcom's brother, more like either a cousin or uncle. So I've never seen much point in re-connecting them.
- elizabethjane818New NoviceI did. His family loved him! His annoying, hippie girlfriend Summer Holiday... not so much.
Nancy fought with Summer while Johnny did nothing. She even got a zap thing, and made Summer clean her house. After a while, Summer finally told Johnny that she just wants to be friends and moved out of there. Nancy's very happy. - I reconnected the family. Johnny is friendly with his family, but he isn't living with them. He is married and has a baby on the way. I changed his name to Johnny Landgraab.
- I haven't, but I have plans for all premades. I hate the landgraabs so I'll probably work something out so one of them dies.
- I didn't even know he is kin to the Landgraabs. :o I always evit him and get rid of his trailer.
- He's a member of my vampire clan and the only connecting he does with the Landgraabs is if one of them wander into Forgotten Hollow and he feeds off them.
- In all my saves Johnny is always re-added as a family member to the Landgraabs. I evict him from his home, transfer him to the Landgraabs, make him Nancy and Geoffrey's son, then pull him back out and put him back in his ugly trailer. I have MCCC so I make him and Nancy despise each other. Johnny is one of my favorite townies <3
- I always do. Johnny Zest moves back in with his parents and brother and reassumes his birth name, Johnathan Landgraab, in most of my saves. It usually creates a lot of drama, as he is so different from the rest of his family.
And for the record for those who have drawn a connection, Dudley and Mimi Landgraab are Malcolm's future children, not Malcolm's siblings. They were featured as Malcolm's adult children in the game The Sims Bustin' Out for PS2. Dudley lived in a trailer (similarly to Johnny, which is probably why some make the connection they do) and Mimi lived in a little pink house. Both were very messy Sims and commented in the game that their father (Malcolm) had cut them off for mooching his money and never doing anything with their lives. When Malcolm grows up in my game, he always ends up with Dudley and Mimi as his children. I make sure of it.
I get that TS4 is supposed to be an "alternate reality" compared to past games, but I'm a stiffler for game lore. I've been playing the Sims since my early childhood across PC and console, so I tend to "fix" my saves to fit in with previous iterations. - Wait, wait... Can you actually disown sims? o.o
