Has anyone ever started a household with an elder only?

This probably one thing I have never done, but am curious about if someone else have. I mean when you start a new household you start off with an elder. If you have...

Did you adopt kids?
Found a random townie who is young, fall in love, add them to the family?
Do they work or what do you with them?
Have a distant relative move in because they are dying to inherit everything so the household line can continue?

Sooo many questions lol. I just know when a single household character dies it is game over

  • I created two elder sim couples (two sisters and their husbands) because I wanted some of my adult sims to be cousins and I wanted their relationship to show in the relationship panel. I moved the elder sims into townhomes on the same lot. Their children invited them to a house party once to meet all their friends and families, but I haven’t played with them since then. I do like seeing them around town, though, and may play with them in the future. I play with aging off, so they will continue to live in their homes without dying.
  • For my Stardew Valley save the Mayor is an real elder who lives alone. With the Mayor.. he has a love affair going on with someone in town that's an adult, but it's kind of hush, hush. I haven't swung around to give him the politician job yet but plan on it.

Also in the Stardew Valley save I have two elders, whose grandson lives with them... he's a young adult. In that family the grandmother is very much into her flower garden and flower arranging, she also likes to cook and bake. The grandfather I made a writer (no rabbithole job). He was suppose to be grumpy and ornery but is very sweet with his wife. When they woohoo I always worry they might die lol.

In a save I haven't played in awhile I also have an old mean man that has a graveyard. I see him as a gravedigger and worse. He was following the evil, mischief aspiration. I planned a story for him but got distracted, he's still there though probably mad at me for ignoring him. Lol.. just remember he liked to dance in front of the mirror ;)..

I also have a number of elders I "make" by using face lines and white hair because I don't like the constant grabbing at their back. I like to play I guess lively vigorous elders if it fits how they are too me. I always play with aging off so that's not one of my issues if they die it will probably be by accident or exhaustion.

I have Ginia Kat (remade from original sims game) made she has 4 Cats, a garden and a butler (light romance) and she likes to paint. I'm toying having her learn the vet stuff just for her use.

Linus (Stardew Valley). He has gotten most of the weather resistant traits now. He lives outdoors in a tent, near the water on the island in Windenburg. He plays the guitar and has some food plants .. he collects stuff and sells them, fishes. He had a fling with the Hermit in Granite Falls (a male) that still comes over from time to time.

  • Never with just elders, but I have had main households that had elder members, intergenerational play can be a lot of fun.
  • Well my current 2nd generation are elderly but I just moved their grandson and his girlfriend in lol
I don’t think I would play them otherwise their quite boring unlike in sims 3 they had more characteristics that made them enjoyable to see age and play through till they passed on

I've played an elder raising her granddaughter after the parents untimely death in a fire. The granddaughter has a family now and grandma is still alive for a rew more sim days. Although I play a new family now, it's one of my favorite households
