Has "family play" fallen back to the wayside? (Now with New OP)

I too hate how the game handles elders. My great-grandmother's 97 and still very active. My great grandfather got winded crossing the room (hyperbole).
I also hate how there's so few clothing and interactions for elders as well. My grandmother thinks two unmarried unrelated people holding hands is a scandal, I don't think she'd walk around in a crop top and booty shorts.
