Has Oasis Springs Always Been Partially Green??

So, I never play in Oasis Springs, but I decided to do a save of a planetary colony in a harsh desert world. However, when looking through the neighborhoods in Oasis Springs, some of them are sandy, like I'd expect, but some of the neighborhoods have green grass both in the lots and in the areas around the lots (so I can't change it). Has it always been this way, or did something change with a patch??

I took all my mods out of my mods folder to make sure it wasn't something I was doing that was causing it. I'm very annoyed that it isn't all sandy. What's the deal?

  • it was when I started playing the game in 2015. Not sure if it was ever different before that.
  • Yes, one specific neighborhood has always had green grass. I forgot the name, but it's the upper left neighborhood on the map.
  • I think it’s always been like this. I guess it’s some weird “we can water our grass” rich people thing or something.
  • It reminds me of Palm Springs as a kid. Many homes had green lawns and swimming pools.
  • Yes, it has always been there. I've seen grass like that with a lot of watering in some deserts and drier areas. I guess that's the "springs" part of Oasis Springs, there is water.

The harsher desert is more like StrangerVille or the area near the trailer in Oasis Springs.
