The problem with lots of mods is they have to be updated. When I started my new save I stripped back to only four or five. But I have added many back as something pops up in the game that annoys me. I always have MCCC, UI Cheats, Home Regions, and Arimiteus's one for High School years. But Adeepindigo's Education Overhaul is up there for me too.
I ended up adding back mods from LittleMsSam and Bienchen as I saw a need for them. Also some of Lumpinou like her First Impressions mod. Other mods like Shino Nox thick apartment walls trait, Simmytime's rainproof electronics, and Roburky's Meaningful Stories also are can't live withouts.
I have much less CC now though. For build and buy, I only have a very few additions mostly a few add-on packs from Illogical and Peacemaker. Just the buy mode ones as I don't build enough to add lots of windows and doors. But I like having chairs to match couches and vice versa. Also some of Ravasheen and PandaSims items, especially the ones for kids.
Everytime I add CAS items to my game, I actually go and look at it in game. About half of it ends up being deleted because it doesn't look as cute in game as in the pictures. If it clips too much, has to be worn with only certain items, etc., I don't keep it. I don't download hair accessories that are meant for only one hairstyle either.
