Have you played in all the lots?

I know I always go for the same five lots in each world when I start a new save. I don’t know why but I never venture to some neighborhoods or different lots in the same neighborhood I play in haha. What about you guys? Are you like me or have you played in every lot in your game?

  • In my huge original save I have, my sim count is like 260 in that one so I think pretty much all the lots I have are full of my sims. I play them all but I prefer some over others. If I restart for fun or a challenge I keep to my fave lots.
  • I have played every starter lot that's not totally empty... I still need to work my way into playing some of the others, honestly, but I usually just take lots from the gallery and play those instead.
  • Haven't really thought about it but I think so mostly from moving sims around or just starting in different places from the start.
  • I haven't counted what lots I play in most often, but it's usually the cheaper ones since I don't play the premades and most of my sims can't afford the more expensive houses. Yes I know I could buildoze them and start over on the lots, but I like to leave them there unless I need the lot. I did bulldoze the Goth house in one save though because it's really ugly to me.
  • Definitely not, but it is also a neighborhood question.
I tend to only live in Windenburg, Oasis Springs or San Myshino (I never remember how to spell that).
I don't know why I don't like the other places...

Actually that might not be true. The main reason I don't like the (whatsitsname, the pet one) is because I don't like the
north-eastern American aesthetic. It's so... Gilmore Girls. ;)
Seriously, I don't like it. And no, I do not know why.

In SM I tend to be all over the place. In Oassis Springs I only live in the retro-modern houses (no Mexican brick houses). In Windenburg too, I tend to use the house in the middle of town as a starter for basically all my saves, because it's CHEAP but then move ASAP to the Island.
  • No, not even close! I enjoy playing with tiny or small homes so I tend to go for the 20x15, 20x20 or 30x20 lots over all the others for most gameplay. I have used some of the bigger lots though, but usually only when required for challenges. The biggest lot I've used in gameplay was Oakenstead for my Time Lord Challenge save. The Artist's Tardis is a massive underground build utilizing two basement levels and a faux park at ground level.

My favorite go to lots are; mostly Mid Nowhere, but I like all the lots on the island in Windenburg except the 64x64, also like Rustic Residence in the countryside, Crick Cabana, Potter's Splay & Hallow Slough in Willow Creek, Nookstone, Agave Abode & Springscape in Oasis Springs, Comfy Cubby, Oak Alcove & Cookout Lookout in Newcrest, and in Forgotten Hollow, Fledermaus Bend. I've not played the other open lot there, Widowshild Townhome, but I did move in the three rebellious vampires from the trailer.

Those are the only neighborhoods I have right now, except for Magnolia Promenade, which I've only used one lot, Preeminent Domain, for an art gallery/bakery and Outdoor Retreat. I mainly use my modified version of the campground lot when vacationing there, but have stayed once in the Riverside Retreat cabin after modifying it.

Happy Simming and have a great weekend! <3
  • Not at all. Whenever I start a new save, I always go for Willow Creek, any lot beside BFFs. In one save, I started two immortal dynasties - gen 1,2,3 - they live everywhere.
  • Nope, when I find the lot I like I keep playing on it till I get bored.
My favorites are (I don't know their names):
the one where Spencer-Kim house is
the 2 big ones in Newcrest that are by the sea
the small one on the island in Windenburg
Cottage am Meer (if that's how it's spelled, it's the one in Windenburg where Ulrike lives.)
