My pets were never sick but now it's the opposite. Real pain. I ended up buying a vet table and doing it myself so I don't have to go through the buggy vet lot.
I've had pets throw up, cats with red eyes, and dog covered in fleas and smelling (but it wasn't fleas). No cone of shame yet.
