i think that if you leave that family for a little while and play with another, you'll more likely get a sick dog. my dog lila,(rip) had a red nose and so did her daughter marble. i had also found this dog (ratchet) from the base game and he was really sick but i couldnt adopt him. i had to change his household in manage households, soo, you can get other diseases
