I've been a Simmer since discovering SimCity 2000 as a little kid, playing SimCity 3000 as a slightly bigger kid, and then getting The Sims on release as an even bigger kid. Played Sims 1 until 2009 when my computer died, played Sims 2 from 2004 to 2016 (until another computer died) and finally tried Sims 4 in 2018. Sims 3 had elements I liked, but I never really got into it the way I did the others, and I disliked not being able to design my neighborhood the way I could in Sims 2. I'm a historian-librarian who loves writing, so my self-sim is always an independent writer or techie. Used to play a LOT of games, but these days its just Sims, Stardew Valley, and Red Dead Redemption 2. I love that Horse Ranch lets me merge the three to some degree. I'm here because of The Sims forums being shut down in July. Figured I might as well get used to the place!
Favorite Sims 4 world: Brindleton Bay
Favorite Sims 4 pack: Really tough call! I like the ones best that add to generational play, like Growing Together.

Hello @Smellincoffee 🙂 It is lovely to see you here.
It is great that you started simming by playing SimCity2000 when a child, then started playing The Sims when it was released, and have played each of the versions.
It is very nice the way that your real life love of writing, with you being a historian librarian, is reflected in your game, with your self sim being a writer.Brindleton Bay is a lovely world for our sims to enjoy living in. It is hard to choose a favourite pack! Growing Together is a great pack as it does add many enjoyable family activities and features to the game.
Happy simming! 🙂
