It was lovely reading about your start to simmingdbmcgrew​ and about how you first began to play Farrah in your game ❤️It was great that after doing the New in Town scenario, and learning things about the game, it then led you to play Farrah. It is very lovely reading about Farrah, her family, and the families of her children! 💗I enjoy reading about what is happening in their lives, and sharing with them in their celebrations ❤️
Oasis Springs is a great world! 🌟It would be extra special for you as the landscape and architecture reminds you of where you used to live 💗

I just discovered this thread, so here goes...

I started playing The Sims 4 a little over a year ago. My first couple households didn't last long. I didn't know how to have adult Sims take care of themselves, let alone how to have parent Sims take care of their children.

Then I started the "New in Town" scenario, which taught me the ropes. After getting one of the endings (I honestly forget which one), I started having the character Farrah Nouvel explore almost every aspiration and career the base game has. Then she got married and started having children. My current game has eight households that I play in rotation: Farrah's household plus the households of seven of her children.

My favourite Sims 4 world is probably Oasis Springs. Farrah's household still lives in the Agave Abode lot that she first moved to at the beginning of the scenario, and most of her children's households are somewhere in Oasis Springs. Plus, the landscape and the architecture remind me a lot of the coastal California area where I lived for most of my life.

I only have a few packs (Vintage Glamour, Seasons, Growing Together, City Living, and the free Holiday Celebration), and I'm still exploring them, so it's hard to choose a favorite. But maybe Growing Together for the extra depth it gives to raising children (especially infants, who start out almost like newborns and then progress slowly towards toddlerhood).

I've done some building and I've created/managed households, and I enjoy them. But mostly, I enjoy playing the game and watching my Sims' lives unfold. Right now, my households include 15 adults or young adults, 6 teens, and 15 other minors (children and younger).

Very late to the party, but welcome to the forums and game! I do hope you enjoy it; all of us here are super in love with The Sims!

I will definitely check out your Builds on the Gallery and download them! I am always on the lookout for new houses for my Sims. I absolutely love Chestnut Ridge as well; it is a stunning world with the cosiest aesthetics! Happy Simming and see you around!

It is lovely that you have been simming since Sims 1 was released and that you then played Sims 2 and Sims 3.,and great that you got all the packs. It is very nice that you are now playing Sims 4.
Chestnut Ridge is a lovely and very scenic world! ❤️It is very nice to go for a horse ride through the areas and enjoy the landscape and scenery.
It is great that you enjoy game play, mixed with building too. I always very much enjoy reading about what is happening in the lives of your sims that you play💗Your builds are also very well designed and furnished.

I only just found this page so maybe this is a late introduction😟

I have been playing the sims since it came out and loved it got all the packs . Then moved onto sims 2 got all packs. Then guess what i moved onto sims 3 again all packs, Then sims 4 came out started to play it and was a bit dissapointed went back to sims 3 for about a year. Then tried sims 4 again with the new stuff that came out. Now im never of it. I play modded and build on an unmodded game

I dont really have a favourite world but as you know just now I am in chestnut ridge and loving it. I do like Newcrest as that can be built as you like ( Mine is full of cheap warehouse homes at minute and has an elementary school  ). as for other sim type game I used to play sim city 3000, sim ant and sim earth ( I am old😬 )

I enjoy the game play more but i do sometimes do builds when I need them or just to try and improve someones home ( 8 sims in a  1 bedroom house?? come on that is silly). I sometimes put them on gallery after as jn1964

So glad you are still here with all of us! I have been playing since February 5, 2000, so yes, almost day one myself, hahaha! I was on a five-year hiatus from October 2020 to December 2025, when my old gaming laptop died, and I had other life happenings going on, like graduating from college, moving abroad, working on my career, and starting a family. 

Nowadays, it feels so good to be able to play once again, despite my limited free time. The Sims will always be a part of my life in one way or another. There is no other game that makes me feel so creative and always eager to try something new. Much love to all Simmers here and, as always, happy Simming! 💞

Thank you so much for replying! Indeed, no matter how many years have passed or will pass, our love for The Sims has remained and continues to remain the same! I didn't play any of The Sims games for five years, yet when I downloaded the EA App on my new computer, it felt like no time had passed at all! 

Welcome back to the sims! Your story sounds so similar to me, long time until I could get a new computer and missed simming for several years! Tartosa is a beautiful world! Happy Simming!
