[Help] Any way to disable Hot and Cold outfits? *Answered*

I love love the sims 4. Own all the Expansions and game packs..the Seasons one has been driving me nuts. My sims wear their cold outfits indoors all the time even though I disabled Snow. Is there any way at all to disable them using hot and cold outfits? feel like I wasted time doing multiple every day outfits cause they just jump from cold outfit to hot on weather changes.

Thanks if anyone has info on this! ♥

  • They should only be switching into their cold outfit if where they is is actually Freezing or, I think, Very Cold (it's about temperature, not snowfall). They should be changing out of their cold outfit when they come indoors. If they aren't, try adding this mod: Change into Everyday when inside https://littlemssam.tumblr.com/post/175412396783/random-small-mods-sometimes-mods-are-sooo-small
  • I use the mod myself, @Ellary...found it really annoying how often people don't change out of the cold weather outfit once they come inside. For me, it seems to happen most often when I load the game up, sims that were inside when I saved wearing everyday outfits are suddenly in cold weather outfits instead when I load...even though they are inside.

There is a downside to the mod though. If you use some of the cold weather slots to have nice sweater or sweatshirt outfits that are decent for indoor wear...the sims won't stay in them when indoors. For me, because I use the mod, that means I'm editing my other outfit categories regularly as the seasons change seeing as I cannot use the cold/hot weather categories for indoor-use outfits.
  • Oh I live in a part of the US that is super cold and snowy, so I keep my sims 4 world nice weather.. well trying to @_@. There is an option I just noticed for sims to ignore temperature effects, will that disable rain? super scared to change many of the game settings and break em lol
  • I don't think the option to ignore temperature effects ignores rains (might be wrong though, never tried it). Even if it doesn't, for only 500 aspiration points you can get them a trait (Waterproof) that will ignore the rain. Just cheat the 500 points if you want to get it on all your sims without having to work on the actual points.
  • Oh oh I want to keep the rain ^_^ so yay... guess I will be brave and test it out @_@ guess it won't break my save otherwise it wouldn't be an options there. This community is so nice here :)
  • I don't know if this works but you can try to use a thermostat inside the house to set the temperature. Maybe it's cold inside the house and that's why they don't change outfuts?
  • Oh my gosh, actually all my older homes I don't think have that! Will have to go through and add those in. Thanks ^^
  • I would agree to see if using a thermostat helps first. If it's very cold inside they'll wear their cold weather outfits indoors to prevent from dyiing. But if that doesn't work then turning off weather effects should keep them from changing into them; it won't affect rain as that is under a separate setting.
