Help deleting this floor please!

You need to delete the ceiling in order for it to work if I am not mistaken. And I suggest dividing it with fence instead of regular floor.

ive tried with fencing but the floor doesn't remove

I just don't know how you are deleting it. Are you clicking delete floor or are you using the hammer tool? That could possibly also make a difference.

What I've had to do was, before placing the stairs... fence off the whole area where you want the fencing to be and the stairs. Delete the flooring in the fenced off area and then add the stairs last.

i was trying to make the stairs with a platform in the middle of each flight of stairs, i was wanting to make a small "landing" in between to decorate. but maybe the game doesnt like that idea haha!

but i have done it the way this video showing me. thank you for your help!
