When you cheat a mood the game extends that mood by a lot. Sometimes if you hover over the moodlet it will even say “you cheated to get this mood” like your being scolded. I learned this hard way with flirty once combined with autonomous extreme woohoo via MCCC and my sim entirely shipwrecked his marriage at a spooky party with the neighbor. I found it hilarious and incorporated it in my story. But I can also see why it would be distressing for some. I would follow Arzekial’s advice and pause the game and remove the buff as they suggested ASAP.
