Are you using mods? Did you try resetting your sims?
Under the Simology panel (the head silhouette) there may be little icon that says how the sim died, e.g. death by overheating, even if they only drank the ghost serum. You may be able to remove the ghost state by using a cheat, but it depends if the ghost trait is under the Simology panel.
@telmarina, Under that same Simology panel is where you should be able find the hidden traits.
