I cant play the game because origin is constantly slowing it, freezing it or crashing it. Think I might be able to find ... some software that allows me to play without this damned thing? Please??? You can't get rid of Origin, but you can keep it from running while you're playing. Pull up Task Manager, and 'end task'

Origin is required... even if you get the game through stream, it's just a "transfer point" to Origin >_>.

You don't have to kill origin, just sign out. You need to sign in origin only to start game, origin doesn't have to be on all time.Also, I'd reinstall origin because that cpu number is bonkers for such small app.

It'll depend on the hardware and in that case... most anything could be a CPU hog (though I will say at 95% CPU usage the OP is showing, I'd actually start digging in and troubleshooting what was going on, because I suspect that is way more than just low end specs at play. EA and the Sims would not be able to sell games at all if their platform alone used 95% of everyone's CPU. So definitely a red flag that something more is going on.)

You can't get rid of Origin, but you can keep it from running while you're playing. Pull up Task Manager, and 'end task'

If you’re just playing TS4 you could try downloading the new EA Desktop app.

You can’t uninstall Origin.
But, if you’re having internet problems, then play offline. There is an option to play offline, and that helps with a lot of issues.

I've been having this issue with origin after I do a game repair. But turning it off with the task manager works. Any other time I don't have an issue with origin being on when I'm playing.

As others have said, open your task manager and "end task" on Origin. It helps a ton AND you can do it while the game is running without any problems.

Origin is a CPU hog while the game is running, so it bogs everything down AND it runs in the background even after you think you've closed it, so killing it through the task manager (and playing in offline mode) is definitely the way to go.

I think it’s supposed to be a future replacement for Origin? You can’t run both at once anyway.
