HELP! My sims won't eat

I have no idea why, but my sims won't eat. I can have them make food, but when I get them to take a serving, they just put it on the floor and don't eat it. I had my sim make a microwave meal, and he just left it in there until I commanded him to empty it, which caused him to immediately throw it in the trash. They simply refuse to get a quick meal, and occasionally will do the reset sim animation when I command them to eat. I tried resetting the sims multiple times, and still nothing. The lot I'm playing on has lots of stuff (64x64 lot), but it's never been a problem before.

In short: My sims refuse to eat at all. Please help.

  • Hmm something is blocking them with the exception of them resetting that maybe something else.

Are you using mods? If not then have you tried resetting the table and or chairs?

  • @catloverplayer I have absolutely no mods. I moved the sims to the indoor tables (they were outside at first), but they won't get food from the fridge, even.

Please report this at this link. It sounds like a bug.

  • Send them to a different lot and have them eat. See if the same thing happens.
  • Fixed! I followed the EA Answers link. The solution was to move the household out of their current lot and then move them back in for anyone wondering. Apparently the bug's existed since Cats & Dogs.
  • I had an issue like this with the Don't Wake the Llama card table. My sims would start eating, but after a couple bites the card table would show up in their action queue, and they would stop eating and go play cards. If I x-ed it out they would also stop eating. If I started them back eating, it would just happen again. Needless to say I got rid of the card table. For some reason only the adult one did it - I was able to keep the kid one and the glitch doesn't happen with it. One of the weirdest glitches I've had in the game!
  • I had the exact same thing happen yesterday. Moved them out then back in and it fixed it for me too.
