How about grabbing this opportunity to finally bring us that Game Pack with the Grim Reaper career, functional graveyards, funerals, and upgraded, playable Ghosts? A goth CAS would fit nicely into a "wallow in death" theme. And you could throw in an 80s retro goth music station. B)

Also, has anyone seen the anime "Black Butler"? There's an entire society of Reapers with offices and everything, lol. It's actually pretty awesome, and each Reaper is different.
I've yet to watch Wednesday. It's there, patiently waiting on my watchlist - I'm still trying to catch up on a couple of shows, but I've been incredibly slow lately, haha.
Black Butler is not available in my country, unfortunately. I did some research on the Grim Reaper Dispatch and their different branches however, and I love all that stuff, especially the fact that their scythes are based on various gardening tools, including chainsaws and pruners. Now that's a perfectly good reason for lawnmowers to be added to The Sims 4! :D
So in our swampy world, we could ferry Sims across the bayou, leaving the mossy, looming, willow trees from the shore and into the misty gateway where you cross the soul bridge to the Otherworld. There, you find the dead and other Reapers milling about with the ancestors of Sims, and you report to Grim himself for your next mission.
Unless there's a waiting room. I'm suddenly reminded of the offices in Beetlejuice...

OMG, the startled chicken dance would be hilarious, and accurate for 80s goth. We could have a reaper career where the ability to do the dance gets unlocked at a certain level, or something like that. Make it so specific dances, Wednesday, startled chicken, gothic 2 step etc, aren't just done by townies as well. :)
Reaper career and/or the ability to play as the Grim Reaper would be awesome, as long as it means they make Grim a fully playable character. It still bugs me that I have to mod my game in order to have Grim be able to do things like date, marry, woohoo and have babies. As far as I know there's no other NPC in the game who is restricted like this. I will occasionally turn one of my mods off and let a game Grim spawn, so them my Grim can have them over and they get to discuss work, which is hilarious. Imagine having the ability to send your Reaper character to work and have them be able to catch up with the other Reapers after a hard day's reaping. Different types of Reapers in that case would work too - the traditional Grimmy reaper already in the game, the Dullahan, Shinigami, Ankou etc.
If we did get a reaper career, or similar, I would also hope that it wasn't made so that negative traits, like mean and evil, were a requirement, or that performing mean actions wasn't a part of the daily career tasks. I haven't heard game Grim say it for a while, but it really bothered me when you'd ask if the Grim Reaper was single, and you'd get an answer along the lines of, 'Oh no, I'm too evil to date'. What? No! Death is not evil, death is a natural part of life. You don't have to like the idea of death, but to treat it like it's something sinister and evil (as in the game mechanics) is a bit silly to me.
