I'm not sure how reliable the /like fruitcake works. I have a sim who loved the fruit cake the welcome wagon brought. several playing hours later I started again from a previous save when she had just moved into the apartment, the same sims turned up with the fruit cake and she hated it. maybe the quality was different, both were normal.
