If you didn't know yet already, instead of having to brew the potion of immortality, you can simply apply any sim to be immortal by applying the Immortal trait on them through cheats. Simply type in Cauldron_Potion_Immortality after typing traits.equip_trait.
However, it only makes them biologically immortal, just like turning aging off in settings. They can still die from most other deaths.

Actually, this is actually a misconception on my part sorry, but it seems that how immortality actually works is that they will still age to Elder but are supposed to be protected from death by Old Age only. I just simply modded the Immortality to what I prefer honestly. The way they made it is unsatisfactory to me.
For me this is really useful, I have a few elders that I want to keep around for a bit longer. This way I can still let them pass on when it suits the story.
