High school years annoyance
I just purchased the HSY expansion and this is my first play, even though my kiddos aren't teens yet so I haven't actually touched any of its features besides social bunny. I am just super annoyed...

I'm not sure if it's intended or not, but if you immediately respond with the Admire Courage option after rejecting a best friend offer, it seems to largely alleviate the problem. Teens can also take the opportunity to cheer up those they've rejected as best friends for a fairly sizeable Empathy boost.
