I also think "Proms" will be extremely similar to the MWS wedding planning process.
But yeah, I think the carnival will be exactly like the festivals, as in lots of things to look at but not much to interact with besides seating and food stalls.
Hopefully sims could get a picture in their inventories after going thru each one. They haven't even showed the tunnel of love or haunted house gameplay yet. I'm expecting a Scared Moodlet for the Haunted House and possibley a Romantic Picture placed in the sims inventory after going thru the tunnel of love and a moodlet and of course I'm predicting we'll also get the woohoo\try for a baby option on the tunnel of love and photobooth.
