Hi @luthienrising any more insight about this? The tweet doesn't actually answer the question, since our Loner sims are also only Tense around people they don't know well.
Loner sims also get a happy moodlet from being alone. Plus their social need decays slower.
From harder time socializing, I take more social interactions fail. Loner sims become embarrassed more from failed social interaction and being around a lot of sims. They don't become happy when around sims they know.
So, it seems to be Loners like to be alone while Socially Awkward sims are bad at socializing.
